We recommend annual physical exams for your pet to ensure that your pet is receiving the best medical attention and is on schedule for appropriate pet vaccinations to maintain optimal health.
Good oral health for your pet can result in a longer and happier life! During your pets yearly physical examination, we will examine your pet’s mouth for any dental issues. At our animal hospital we offer a myriad of dental services, including: oral and dental exams, cleaning, polishing, x-rays, and extractions. We also carry a vast assortment of dentals products, that will aid in keeping your pets teeth healthy. Over 50 % of pets over the age of 3 , have some degree of dental disease. Dental disease will lead to a shorter life span, causing kidney, liver and heart problems. Feel free to call us at any time to set up an appointment.
Diagnostic and Lab Procedures
We offer a complete in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital xray, ultrasound services and Laser Therapy. We also work with the Ohio Department of Agriculture and Pet Labs for samples that must be processed with an outside lab.
We offer emergency services during normal working hours. If your pet is in need of emergency care after hours and you are a current client, call our main office, 419-294-1619 , and we will provide you instructions on how to handle the situation. We also work closely with West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Service in Lima, to help ensure emergency services are always available after hours. Our phones are answered 24/7, 365 days a year.
Pet Surgical Services
With our advanced anesthetic capabilities and surgical equipment, we can provide a safe and comfortable experience for your pet. We offer pet neutering and spaying, declawing , soft tissue surgery, trauma and fracture repair. We closely monitor each animal to appropriately address pain management and assure each pet is comfortable after any surgical procedure. Pain control is offered to all of our patients. While your pet is in our animal hospital, we provide a medical treatment, monitoring, safety and lots of pampering! Our trained staff will communicate directly with you about your pet’s progress. We can arrange visitation hours, should your pet be hospitalized.
We carry a full line of medications for your pet including flea and tick control, heartworm medications, shampoos, vitamins, dental products and any prescription medication your pet may require. We also have a convenient on-line store to have your pets medication shipped directly to your home.
We carry a complete line of Hills and Science Diet, and Purina Veterinary Diets and Pro Plan pet foods
The Animal Clinic at Upper Sandusky strives to provide you and your pet exceptional veterinary care at affordable prices. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, checks with proper ID, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Care Credit, and Scratch Pay. All services must be paid in full at time of service, we do not bill. This ensures fairness for everyone and allows us to keep our prices affordable. Should you have an unexpected emergency, we can help you apply for Care Credit in the office . We are here to help your pets recieve the treatment they need.
If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please call to let us know so another pet may fill your slot. We will also rechedule your appointment for a time that is more convenient to you. We understand things come up!
